Lori Langford provides the English component of the tour. She is a qualified E.S.L. teacher and enjoys a practical application for her love of language. Lorie has been very creative with the classes over the years. She always makes it interesting. Each year she uses a theme to structure her classes around. Besides the theme, such as basketry or North American Indians, she includes women studies, social systems, political structures, local history, local industries etc.

The English will be structured according to need. We will assess the group according to the levels people are ready to learn. Children are welcome, and we will provide special classes for them. If necessary we will bring in other teachers for other levels. People will not be forced into uncomfortable levels at any time. We want you to have fun in learning. We have different teachers who have worked with us several times for different levels of English. There will be focus on practical and verbal exercises in a sharing way.

A handheld computerized dictionary
comes in handy at times.

Lori also owns and runs Sweat Dreams Guest House together with her partner Jeff. The classes are held in her beautiful and comfortable dining room at the guesthouse. With her commercial kitchen available she has developed a baking class. She makes the process of baking a traditional Canadian treat part of her English class, which has been very successful, fun and yummy...
